Iron Chef Morimoto's First Ramen Restaurant Opens in New York

Last fall we announced that after multiple successful Pan-Asian and Japanese restaurants, Iron Chef Morimoto would be opening his first-ever ramen-centric restaurant. Last week, chef Morimoto finally opened Momosan Ramen & Sake in New York City's Murray Hill neighborhood. The restaurant will feature the chef's "elevated spin" on traditional ramen styles. In addition to an extensive ramen selection, Momosan will also offer a variety of appetizers. To see the complete list check out this story in the News in Brief section.

Paula Deen — the one-time Food Network star whose career second act has included her own 24/7 digital network, a restaurant seating 300 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, a cooking game app, and a healthy cookbook — has now launched her own clothing line, Paula Deen's Closet. The clothing line is something Deen has been working on for a while. Known for her love of butter, Deen says she created the line because she understands the struggles of "the body that's not perfect."

Convenience store chain 7-Eleven just got even more convenient. You can now buy a Slurpee and pay your taxes at the same place, according to an IRS announcement. The IRS has partnered up with ACI Worldwide's OfficialPayments.com and the PayNearMe Company for the new payment option, which allows people to make tax payments at more than 7,000 7-Eleven stores nationwide. With tax day quickly approaching, those that want to take advantage of this payment option should act sooner rather than later, as it is a multi-step process.
