Comedian Jennifer Salzman Opens Cocktail And Entertainment Lounge In Brooklyn

Jennifer Salzman is expanding her title as a comedian and events producer to include lounge owner with the recent opening of her new cocktail bar and private event space, Salzy, in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn.

This year, Salzman left her successful career as a recruiter at WPP, an advertising and marketing agency, to pursue comedy and hospitality. Her latest endeavor combines her passions into a unique venue for entertainment and quality craft cocktails.

"Salzy is the perfect expression of my passions for hospitality and producing unique events that showcase talented performers," Salzman said in a statement. "The cocktail bar at the front of the venue will be a fun and sophisticated gathering place to catch up over drinks and bites, and the performance space will become a hub for comics, DJs, bands and other creatives to convene and perform."

The Salzy cocktail menu was spearheaded by Brooklyn native, actor, and artist Luke Forbes, who has trained with mixologist professionals such as Tony Abou-Ganim and was a member of the founding team at the Den Hospitality's The Garret.

Salzy is located at 506 Fifth Avenue in Brooklyn, New York.
