Charleston's Culinary Talent Comes Together To Host The James Beard Foundation's Taste America Dinner Nov. 4

The James Beard Foundation continues its fourth annual Taste America tour on Nov. 4 in Charleston. The foundation is traveling to 10 cities across the country to host one-of-a-kind fundraising dinners highlighting local cuisine and headlined by a visiting all-star chef and local star chef, as well as cooking demos, artisanal tastings, and book signings.

The exclusive dinner benefiting the James Beard Foundation will take place at The Cedar Room with a cocktail and tasting reception starting at 6 p.m. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. and will feature a menu crafted by Taste America all-star and James Beard Award winner Dan Barber of Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills, N.Y.; local star and James Beard Award winner Sean Brock of Husk; pastry chef Katy Keefe of McCrady's; and host chef Jeremiah Bacon of The Macintosh.

The reception will feature tastings from Jill Mathias of Chez Nous; Kevin Mitchell of Culinary Institute of Charleston; Ken Vedrinski of Trattoria Lucca; and Michelle Weaver of Charleston Grill.
