Award-winning Chef Nancy Silverton will be celebrating the joys of summer cuisine and American icons at the Macy's Culinary Council cooking demonstration on June 3rd at the Herald Square Macy's in the heart of New York City. Macy's introduced the Culinary Council in 2003. Since then, their roster of top-rated chefs have been inspiring home cooks to change the way they shop, cook and eat.

With partners Mario Batali & Joe Bastianich, Nancy Silverton is the co-owner of Pizzeria and Osteria Mozza in Los Angeles, Newport Beach and Singapore, as well as Mozza2Go and Chi Spacca in Los Angeles. Silverton also founded the world-renowned La Brea Bakery and Campanile Restaurant. She is the author of eight cookbooks – two of which were nominated for awards from Julia Child and the James Beard Foundation. A member of the Culinary Council since its inception, on June 3rd, Chef Silverton will share her talent for creating dynamic dishes with some of her signature ingredients – bread and cheese. Her menu will include Egg Salad with Bagna Cauda Toast, Shave Brussels Sprout Salad and Prosciutto Mozzarella Parcels. Among other things, Silverton is known for her ability to craft sensational salads that are easy to master at home, so these are dishes and recipes that will carry you through your summer feasting season.

The demonstration will begin at 1pm and will include scrumptious samples and musical entertainment.  Guests will have the opportunity to explore the latest in cookware and gadgets for the kitchen as well. Plus, with any purchase of$35* or more in the Home department, receive a special music gift and a copy of The Mozza Cookbook, which Nancy will personally sign. Guests who RSVP (it's free!)  In advance will also receive a $10 Macy's Gift Card at the event.
