California's First Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill Opens In The Grove In Los Angeles

Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill, the chain founded by chefs Eric and Bruce Bromberg, has opened its first California location at The Grove in the Fairfax district.

Taking over the space previously inhabited by Gordon Ramsay's Fat Cow next to the theater complex, the new restaurant offers al fresco dining by the man-made lake and fountain and on the patio around the entrance, as well as a more intimate indoor seating area.  Hardwood walnut and cherry tables and fixtures and huge chairs create an inviting dining atmosphere in the long rectangular space.

The menu highlights chef Toshi Ueki's exceptionally fresh seafood as well as family-style Japanese dishes.

A new lunch menu includes Zuke Tuna Don and Yaki Salmon Don combination meals which include wakame, rice, spicy bean sprouts, and miso soup; sushi and sashimi platters with miso soup; a bento box with sashimi, California rolls, and a choice of grilled beef, chicken, or salmon; and chicken, salmon and steak salads.

The larger a la carte menu includes sushi and sashimi from approximately 30 different varieties of fish, tempura; meatball skewers, wagyu beef tongue, oxtail, King Crab, and "unfried" rice, seared salmon, halibut, scallops, a variety of steaks, lobster, and Blue Ribbon's signature fried chicken with wasabi honey sauce.

To go along with your meal, Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill also offers over 70 different varieties of wine, Asian beers, sake, and cocktails.
