Ca' Dario Serves Traditional Italian Food To Santa Barbara

Resembling an authentic Italian trattoria, Ca' Dario in downtown Santa Barbara is charming and intimate. The ambiance is Old World quaint Italian, with white tablecloths, wooden chairs, tiled floors, a small bar, and a clientele of loyal regulars.

Located one block from bustling State Street, chef Dario Furlati's romantic Ca' Dario offers diners classic Northern Italian dishes including beef carpaccio, chilled artichoke, rotisserie rabbit, chicken and duck, grilled flat iron steaks and lamb chops, and Italian sausage with polenta.

Everything is good here, but the pastas are exceptional. They include angel hair with fresh tomatoes, penne with spicy tomato and roasted garlic, fusilli with pancetta and chili, farfalle with smoked salmon and peas, pappardelle with meat ragout, and tortellini with ham and cheese. Chef Furlati also offers a variety of specials each evening.

Next door, Ca' Dario Pizzeria offers a wide choice of pizzas including margherita; prosciutto, tomato, mozzarella, and arugula; sausage, rapini, garlic, tomato, and pecorino; ham, champignon, tomato, and mozzarella; burrata, cream, leeks, and asparagus; and pancetta, mozzarella, panna, and quail egg.
