Antico Noè Brings Traditional Tuscan Panini To New York City

Toasty, cheesy, and portable, the panini has been a long-time favorite among sandwich connoisseurs. It's not a surprise that the best panini originate from Italy. Need an example? Anticoe Noè has been churning out authentic Tuscan panini from a tiny storefront in an arcaded alley off the Piazza San Pier Maggiore in Florence for over 70 years. With a track record like that, how can they not be good?

These famed sandwiches are now offered in New York City for the first time ever. Though not quite as cool as enjoying a panini in the original location, the recently opened Antico Noè in Midtown Manhattan is the first outpost outside of Italy. It offers traditional panini made just like the ones found in Florence — same secret sauces, recipes, and fresh bread.

To make sure this standard of quality and taste would be found in each panini made in the Midtown location, the U.S.-based team studied and trained at the Florence location to learn all the various tricks of the trade, as well as how to create the most authentic panini experience possible.

The menu has quite a big selection of panini options, that include #21, prosciutto di parma, tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, balsamic glaze, and it famous pesto sauce; #4, its signature stuffed chicken, prosciutto, Mortadella, mushrooms, mozzarella, and its famous rose sauce; as well as vegetarian options like #13, eggplant, roasted onions, artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, and an olive spread, and pesto sauce.
