You could stand to loose [sic] a few pounds." The story gets even better (worse?): the offended waitress ended up posting the wrong customer's information on Facebook, and had to apologize.

A Tumblr user wrote about his mother's experience with waiting on a man at her restaurant who heard about her far-fetched dream to visit her relatives in Florence. Her customer then left her a $1,000 tip to pay for her ticket to Italy.

Normally, receiving a lottery ticket would make for a poor tip, but when one bartender received two lottery tickets as gratuity (a tradition in the bar), one happened to be worth $17,500. Now that's what we call a tip.
