Filet mignon is such a tender cut of beef, you don't need to do much to make it taste amazing. This recipe just adds a bit of bacon to the mix, but it's an optional addition to a great meal

Bacon-Wrapped Filet Mignon
Total time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
  • 2 strips of bacon
  • 2 4-ounce filet mignon steaks
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F.
  2. Wrap the edges of your steak with bacon and secure with toothpicks. Season meat with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter in a pan on medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 1 minute on each side.
  4. Place the steaks in the oven, reduce the heat to 325 degrees, and bake for 5 minutes. Flip the steak over and continue baking for another 3 minutes for medium rare. Adjust cooking time according to oven consistency and taste preference.
