Filet mignon is such a tender cut of beef, you don't need to do much to make it taste amazing. This recipe just adds a bit of bacon to the mix, but it's an optional addition to a great meal.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 strips of bacon
  • Two 4-ounce filet mignon steaks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

DIRECTIONS

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
 
Wrap the edges of your steak with bacon and secure with toothpicks.
 
Heat olive oil in a pan on medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 1 minute on each side.
 
Place the steaks in the oven, reduce the heat to 325 degrees, and bake for 5 minutes. Flip the steak over and continue baking for another 3 minutes for medium rare. Adjust cooking time according to oven consistency and taste preference.
