An Easy Allergy-Friendly Get Together With Friends

The holidays are here and we are all planning meals or gatherings with friends. I thought I would share some simple ways I feed a crowd without stressing over who can eat what when it comes to food allergies, intolerances or preferences.

I have found the easiest way to accommodate a large group of people is to do build-your-own meals. Normally this includes a meat, beans, a starch and some vegetables. My favorite meal to do for a crowd is a build your own taco, tostada or burrito bar. This way, you can provide a variety of options without being concerned if someone can't eat what you are making. You can even include your guests in the fun by having them bring their favorite condiment or topping.

When It comes to desserts, I like to keep that simple too.  I like to make a sweet treat and also do a fruit platter.  I have found that baking off a batch of caramel gooey bars the night before works perfectly since they are even better the next day.

Getting together with friends is all about ease and relaxation. These are some tricks I have learned throughout the years so I can enjoy the fun and food too!
