Foursquare Tips

  • Awesome local breakfast place, a must place to try!!
  • You can't visit Asheville and not have breakfast at Early Girl at least one morning. Arguably my favorite breakfast place in the world.
  • Arrive at 11 a.m. for lunch to avoid the wait. You might have to wait a few minutes for the lunch specials board to go up, but definitely worth it.
  • Always check the specials. The pan fried mountain trout is a must!
  • Food is always wonderful. The service though could be better. The waitresses tend to give you your food then ignore you.
  • Oh they have an amazing local sausage & sweet potato scramble. The leftovers for dinner were even better!
  • Get the sausage and sweet potato scramble.
  • The Breakfast Bowl combines grits, eggs and veggies all mixed up and ends up being quite filling. If youre hungry get this! READ FULL REVIEW >>
  • Try the trout, it's the best thing on the menu!
  • Seriously the best breakfast ever. Loved the raspberry jam on the table!
  • The black bean and cheddar omelet is wonderful as were the friendly staff.
  • Broccoli cheese hushpuppies! They're served with some of the best apple butter I have had in ages. I know you might be thinking that's a strange combo, but it's delicious!!
  • Great pancakes, biscuits and gravy, fried green tomatoes, pretty much you can't go wrong with anything you get from here :)
  • Tempeh Ruben with some of the Lusty Monk "Original Sin" mustard is FAWESOME!
  • Great local breakfast spot. local eggs.
  • My favorite place in the world...pretty much. Great food. Awesome service. If going for Sunday brunch plan to wait. For a large group you could be chilling for up to an hour.
  • Apple walnut salad with tempeh is way better than it sounds. Fried green tomatoes were fine, but nothing to write home about. Feels a little pricy for what it is.
  • Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful grits, good prices.
  • Loves this spot. Some of the freshest tasting food I've had in a long time. Hit it up for lunch or breakfast.
  • Awesome, awesome food. Ordered a lamb burger off the specials board. Try the cucumber and onion salad (ask for hot sauce).
