Dunkin’ Donuts hosts holiday Twitter contest

Dunkin’ Donuts has launched a Twitter contest to promote both its new mint hot chocolate drink and its coffee that is served on JetBlue Airways flights.

In the HoliDDay MoMint contest, which runs from Dec. 5–9, people who tweet @DunkinDonuts with the hashtag #DDMoMint and share their favorite moment of the holiday season have a chance to win a $50 gift card from the coffee-and-doughnut chain or a voucher for two free JetBlue flights.

Dunkin’ Donuts will randomly select one winner each day of the promotion for the $50 Dunkin’ Donuts Card, and one grand-prize winner from all entrants for the JetBlue voucher.

Dunkin’ Donuts added mint hot chocolate as a permanent menu item throughout its 9,700 units in November. Its coffee has been served on JetBlue flights since 2006.

The Dunkin’ Donuts contest comes days after KFC launched its second annual Twitter scholarship competition. Through Dec. 8, high school seniors who tweet @KFC_Colonel with the hashtag #KFCscholar a picture illustrating why they exemplify “Colonel Sanders’ commitment to education enriching their communities, and why they are deserving of a college scholarship,” according to KFC’s website, have a chance to win a college scholarship of $5,000 for four years, for a total of $20,000.
