After more than a year and a half of campaigning, the 2016 election is about to come to an end; this calls for a drink

It’s been a long election season. Hillary Clinton formally announced her candidacy in April 2015, and Donald Trump announced his bid for the Republican nomination two months later in June. After more than a year and a half of speeches, debates, scandals, and political ads, it’s all about to come to an end. And doesn’t that call for a drink (or two, or three)?

8 Election-Night Drinking Games to Help You Celebrate or Ease the Pain

Worry not: We have eight drinking games to help get you through election night. Do you feel particularly passionate about Clinton or Trump? Why not celebrate with a drink every time one of them wins a state? If you’re looking to step away from the presidential election, take a shot when a gubernatorial or Congressional race is called on TV.

Even if you’re not particularly political and are just here for the party, there’s a game for you. Pick a candidate and drink every time he or she wins a state! Or listen for key newscaster favorite phrases and take a shot anytime they’re uttered.

No matter your political affiliation, all of America deserves a drink. So kick back, pour yourself a stiff one, and play along as it all unfolds.
