Tom Brady Says He's Never Even Tried Coffee, Not Even Dunkin' Donuts

Just days after Tom Brady's personal chef revealed that he barely eats fruit and definitely doesn't eat mushrooms (because they're not anti-inflammatory) despite adhering to a plant-based diet, Brady has decided to disturb his fans even further by admitting that he's never so much as tried coffee.

"I never had any coffee or anything like that," Brady told WEEI, a Boston-based sports radio station, during a recent interview. "I just never tried it."

We already knew from his personal chef, Allen Campbell, that the Bradys abstain from coffee and other forms of caffeine, but we find it harder to swallow the idea that Brady has never taken a sip of coffee in his entire life.

After all, the New England Patriots, for whom he's played his entire professional career, are sponsored by the other big brand name you might associate with New England — Dunkin' Donuts. There's also the small detail that his wife, Gisele Bundchen, is from Brazil, the country responsible for a third of the planet's coffee production.

Perhaps now that Brady has come clean, Dunkin' Donuts will take his admission as a challenge. It does seem a little strange that Dunkin' would have a "Pats Win, You Win," promotion this season — where Dunkin' Donuts Perks members get a free coffee the day after a Patriots victory — when the star quarterback doesn't even know what's he's setting in motion.
