Drink Your Breakfast On The Go

There have been liquefied meals such as smoothies or fresh juices in the past, but breakfast? Normally, it's a meal we all have in the morning... sitting down. It's one of the rare moments when we get to relax before we head off to our busy lives. But now brands such as Kellogg's and General Mills have generated a line of breakfast shakes for those on the go, as reported by Bevnet.

Kellogg's has expanded their Special K from cereal to now Special K Protein Shakes, Special K Breakfast to Go, and Special K Coffee House Breakfast Shakes. Bevnet calls the shakes "a bottled mix of cereal, liquefied protein and fiber into the hands of a growing number of (mostly female) consumers."

Cheerios on the other had has created their own nutritional shake made with dairy called BFast.

Kantar Worldpanel has said,"smoothies and nutritional supplements being consumed by more people for the purpose of replacing a meal at the breakfast occasion. Smoothies have nearly doubled in the amount of people drinking for this reason."

We're not sure if liquefying our breakfast is the healthiest choice, but it's certainly a more convenient one. Although we don't know what other brands will roll out breakfast drinks, we can be sure to be on the lookout.
