Foursquare Tips

  • Never disappointed. Great food, drink, and service. Don't leave without the Creme Brulee.
  • Love this place. Right on Jackson square. Great turtle soup, gumbo and BBQ shrimp. Avoid the blackened chicken sandwich. No seasoning and smothered in mayo
  • Crepe du jour is good starter. Filet mignon and frites is done just right. Got a side grits which was a good call. Very smooth and a little spicy.
  • We are at Kingfish, Red Fish Grill, Doris Metropolitan & Willie Mae's. Most passable w/ the first two just disgusting. Dickie Brennan saved New Orleans for my wife & I.
  • The bacon wrapped oysters are amazaballs!
  • Chef Ben Thibodeauxs dishes put modern twists on French-Creole classics, such as truffle-marinated crab claws and rosemary-skewered oysters en brochette. YUM!
  • The crab and asparagus soup special is delicious if it's on offer!
  • The Sunday Jazz brunch is the best!
  • Delicious cocktails! The shrimp and grits were also amazing. Loved it.
  • I was a little disappointed with the seafood gumbo we had heard so many good things. Pimms cup was tasty but our sundae didn't make it to us until it was already melted.
  • The lunch petite filet was excellent and worth the price, as was the creole pulled pork sandwich. Wonderful upscale lunch venue on the corner of Jackson Square.
  • Chicken on chicken
  • Every bite was perfection. I wanted filet minon. I spotted Eggs Hussard: filet minon, grilled French bread, tomato, poached eggs, oysters +the sauces. I est. it had 4 oz. of steak, plenty for me!
  • Great music - Nicholas Payton 4tet
  • Try to eat outside, upstairs. Great view of the streets and intimate lighting. Filet strips are perfect and leave room for one of the best bread puddings of your life! Highly recommend this spot!
  • Gluten free Cajuns: they can prepare many of their floured items with rice flour. It's been years since I've had fried oysters and these did not disappoint!
  • The monkey bread pudding is a must eat. If you have space for it.
  • Have a French 75 in the courtyard!
  • Amazing food, flavours and setting. Daily crepe special and the creole BLT is amazing. Wine on tap.
  • Mmmm, the duck and andouille gumbo was perfection. A beautiful restaurant with a great, simple menu.
