If you’re going to commit to a night filled with red carpet watching and acceptance speech drinking games, you might as well make a party of it!

It’s not every year that the Oscars has such a hefty collection of stellar films. Sure, there are plenty of worthy Best Picture nominees every year, but they’re not all as amazing as this year’s selection.

With the bittersweet dramedy Silver Linings Playbook, Ben Affleck’s suspenseful Argo, the utterly romantic Amour, and the art that is Life of Pi, it’s anyone’s win, really — and those aren’t even half of the nominees!

While we’d love to be wearing couture and diamonds and sitting between Clooney and Denzel, let’s face it — we’ll be cozy on our couch watching with our usual crowd and that’s the way we like it![slideshow:

To get in the mood for showbiz’s biggest night, create a menu that’s filled with dishes that are reflective of the nominees. Brooklyn’s Nitehawk Cinema as well as ESquared Hospitality’s The Florentine  have created menus in honor of the 2013 Academy Awards Best Picture nominees.
