Couple Choose To Get Hitched At IKEA

Want Swedish meatballs at your wedding? Get hitched at IKEA then, like Maryland's Julie Rodgers and Willie Pittman.

ABC News reports that the couple, who had their first date at IKEA two years ago, married Tuesday inside College Park's IKEA restaurant. The best part: IKEA didn't charge them for the space, food, or decor. (Talk about economical!) The wedding of about 25 guests dined inside and had — take a wild guess — IKEA's signature Swedish meatballs.

The couple was very happy with the festivities; Rodgers told ABC/ WHLA, ""Ikea did just a beautiful job of everything that they provided for us and I'm just speechless and I'm very seldom speechless."

Despite the buzz, IKEA's Sharon Black told WTOP that the weddings won't become a regular occurence for the furniture store. " She said, "We'll entertain them all, but we'll see where it goes from here. We're not really in the wedding business."

Think it's crazy? It's hardly the first food-themed wedding; after all, nothing beats the crazy of a White Castle (yes, the burger joint) wedding. Before that there was the Starbucks wedding, where the couple also claimed they fell in love.
