The French Pastry School of Kennedy-King College at City Colleges of Chicago is the premier international institution for pastry arts education. Though it’s a professional school, it also has a Continuing Education program in which the school hosts hands-on three- to five-day courses specifically tooled for food enthusiasts.

Some examples of upcoming classes include Traditional Artisan Bread, Classic French Cakes, and Puff Pastry: Sweet and Savory. Classes are $525 for three days of instruction and do not require previous experience in pastry or baking.
