20 Foods You Wouldn’t Think to Grill

The Daily Meal reached out to own Culinary Content Network of bloggers in search of exciting recipes to share with our readers. It's summer time, which of course in eating terms means it's grilling time! Who doesn't love a good piece of grilled salmon, or grilled chicken, or of course grilled ribs! But this week we are digging deeper into our grilling repertoires because there are so many ingredients that can benefit from a good dose of direct heat and fire.  This week's SWAT (Sharing With A Theme) invited our bloggers to show us their skills and present us with their best recipes featuring foods that you wouldn't think to grill. 

Blackened Apricots with Creme Fraiche & Pistachios

This dish requires no skill at all.  Just halve the fruit and plop them, cut side down, on a screaming hot grill pan.  Leave them for a minute or so, then flip them over onto a plate, top with a dollop of creme fraiche (or yogurt) and a sprinkle of pistachios.  Recipe courtesy of Sue of The View From Great Island food blog.
