Wine Spectator Picks Dallas For First Time

Wine Spectator magazine's Grand Tour will stop in Dallas this year for the first time ever. The annual mega wine tasting tour will be held from 7 to 10 pm at the Hyatt Regency Dallas on Friday, May 8.

A Wine Spectator spokesperson said Dallas was included this year because of the large number of subscribers. But attendance will determine whether Dallas becomes part of a select group of cities that host the event annually.

The Wine Spectator's Grand Tour starts in Chicago on Thursday, April 30. It is held in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 2. Attendees will indulge in a light evening buffet to complement their evening. Additionally, attendees will receive a Riedel tasting glass as a souvenir.

The list of participating wineries is lengthy but some of them include: Antinori, Almaviva, Alion, Beringer, Marchesi di Barolo, Beaulieu, Marques de Caceres, Caymus, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Chateau St. Jean, Concha y Toro, Emiliana, Fonseca, Louis Latour, Luca and many more.
