Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. pork or beef baby back ribs

  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

  • 1 tablespoon paprika

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • Salt and fresh ground pepper

  • 1 cup of your favorite Weber BBQ Sauce, like Weber Original or Weber Sweet 'N Spicy BBQ Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat gas grill for high heat.

  2. In a small bowl, combine the spices and mix well.

  3. Trim off the membrane from the back of each rack, by running a small, sharp knife between the membrane and snip off the membrane as much as possible. This prevents the ribs from being chewy.

  4. Sprinkle the rub onto both sides of the ribs, but do rub the spices in, because this makes the ribs too dark and spicy.

  5. Place aluminum foil on lower rack to capture drippings and prevent flare-ups.

  6. Brush grate with oil, and lay ribs on top rack of grill.

  7. Reduce heat to low, shut the grill, and leave them alone for a full hour. No peeking!

  8. After one hour check for doneness. You may need to continue cooking for another 10-15 minutes, depending on your particular grill.

  9. Brush ribs with BBQ sauce and grill an additional few minutes until sauce is slightly absorbed and a little brown around the edges.

  10. Serve ribs as whole rack or cut between bones and pile individual ribs on the platter.
