Claw: New On The Seafood Scene

Claw is a new addition to the seafood scene in New York City, opening two locations within the past four months and bringing a fresh take to seafood dishes.

"The word "fresh" means a lot more to us" according to the restaurant's maître d', "We're the only lobster shack in New York City that handpicks the meat from steamed lobsters every day!" Claw imports lobster and crab fresh from Maine daily, which is incorporated in almost every menu item.

The most popular item on the menu is the lobster roll, which is crafted Long Island style in contrast from the popular Connecticut and Maine style. The lobster is poached and buttered and stuffed into a toasted potato bun.

Other unique menu options include the lobster quesadilla which is made with pepper jack cheese and spiced with tarragon or the crab beignets that are miniature crab bites wrapped in a crispy egg roll shell, which is a savory spin on the classic New Orleans dessert.

You can find Claw in Chelsea as well as Hell's Kitchen. They are open 11am-12am Monday through Sunday.
