Citi Field Adds To Their Already Stellar Food Lineup Slideshow
In the Taste of the City area located in center field on the field level, you'll find these fries at the Box Frites stand.
Empire State Craft Beer
On the field level in section 133 and on the promenade level in section 414, you'll find a rotating selection of local craft beers, including Bronx Pale Ale, Coney Island Lager, Southern Tier IPA, and Original Sin Hard Cider.
Caprese Panini
Mozzarella, tomato, and basil on pesto bread is served in the Caesars Club on the Excelsior level.
Chicken Pipian Nachos
At El Verano Taqueria (in Taste of the City), you can get corn tortilla chips topped with marinated chicken, cilantro, chopped onion, and cheese.
Steak Tacos
Also at El Verano are the steak tacos — chile marinated skirt steak with onion, cilantro, and tomato salsa.
Churro with Chocolate Sauce
Each order comes with one churro and a side of chocolate sauce. Also at the El Verano Drink Stand is Mocha Spiced Hot Chocolate, a new item this season and great for the chilly, early season night games.
Filet Mignon Sandwich
Pat LaFrieda's original filet mignon sandwich is made with 100 percent black angus hand cut beef, Vermont monterey jack cheese, sautéed vidalia onions, and beef au jus on a baguette. These can be purchased on the field level in Taste of the City and on the Promenade level in the food court.
Seafood Fry Basket
Catch of the City, located in section 102, brought in this new menu item this season — a basket of fried sole, scallops, clam, and shrimp, served with tartar and cocktail sauces.
Mister Softee
Mister Softee's first ever brick and mortar locations are in sections 131, 305, 339, 412, and 417 of Citi Field.
Meatball Sliders
Pat LaFrieda is offering these meatball sliders for the first time this season. They can be purchased in the stand in Taste of the City.
The Mex Burger
The Mex Burger is a classic at Citi Field. Created by Keith Hernandez himself (with the help of the Citi Field Culinary Team), it's a six-ounce LaFrieda burger with cheddar and jack cheese, bacon, guacamole, chipotle aioli, and jalapeños. The burger is served with Wise potato chips and a Tootsie Roll Pop (Hernandez's favorite snack). You can pick up one of these in section 132.
Nathan's Original Frankfurter and Fries
It's not a baseball game without a hot dog. Pick up a Nathan's frankfurter and fries all over the stadium — including grill stands and hot dog stands.
Pastrami Dog
For something a little more glamorous than the original Nathan's dog, try the Nathan's pastrami dog, topped with in-house smoked pastrami and deli mustard, located in section 135.
Classic New York Deli Pastrami Sandwich
So you want just pastrami, no hot dog? Try the pastrami sandwich, served with a pickle, also located in section 135.
Two Boots Pizza
On the right is the Meat the Mets slice, topped with Creole chicken, pepperoni, Italian sausage, jalapeños, ricotta, and mozzarella, and on the left is their newest slice, the V for Vegan — artichokes, shiitake mushrooms, red onions, pesto, and non-dairy cheese. Both of these are available in Taste of the City, as well as the promenade level food court, the Ceasars and Delta Clubs.
Shack Burger and Milk Shake
Brave the line for the Shack Burger — a cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato, and Shack Sauce. Also on the menu this season is their vegetarian 'Shroom Burger.
Kansas City Spare Ribs
Pick up these slow smoked spare ribs with sweet and spicy sauce at Blue Smoke in Taste of the City, adjacent to Shake Shack.
Thanksgiving Sandwich
Don't get too excited — this sandwich rotates throughout the season, so you're not guaranteed the Thanksgiving sandwich. In the Caesars club, they now have a rotisserie, and every homestand the sandwich offered will change.
Tribeca Grill's Batter Up Chicken
In the Delta Market and Delta Club on the Sterling level, you can pick up this buttermilk fried chicken, served with pizzelle cookies and maple butter.
