Foursquare Tips

  • The three chefs in the kitchenJamison Blankenship, James Sato and David Koon spent months testing different broths, noodles and toppings to create the three bowls on their opening menu.
  • A Morimoto ramen joint in my neighbhorhood? There is a God! (and She says to try the fried green tomato bun along with the pork broth ramen).
  • Grab a window seat if you can. Watching the people outside waiting for a seat be cold and miserable somehow makes the food taste just that much better.
  • For starters, try the special, pickled Asian vegetables (Chinese broccoli, beets, daikon radish) dusted with horseradish shavings or the peanutty Brussels sprouts, browned to an immaculate crisp.
  • The kale salad is a lovely mix of textures - really tasty!
  • Get the Kale Salad
  • Eat delicious ramen, drink interesting sake. Definitely get the chili garlic sauce. Pay with cash.
  • What's good here? Everything. A ramen for every taste, always cooked to perfection. (I recommend the pork!) Be sure to slather the Chili Garlic Paste on whatever you get.
  • Veg Ramen: made with a seaweed-based miso broth studded with roasted squash chunks and soft cabbage leaves between the springy noodles.
  • The Miso Ramen is the best I've had in NYC. Serious.
  • Whatever you do, ORDER THE ICE CREAM SANDWICH!! If you're a macaroon lover, you're in for the surprise of your life!
  • Brainchild of former Morimoto chefs, the cash-only joint offers 4 types of ramen (miso, soy, veggie, and kimchi), plus a weekly special. Theres no way to go wrong, but the kimchi ramen cant be beat.
  • The vegetarian chili over noodles is the greatest new dish in Prospect Heights. It's off menu, so ask for it!
  • Head to Woodwork if you're stuck waiting for a table. Let the bartender know you're coming from Chuko and you'll a get a dollar off your drink.
  • Kale salad , sprouts and the pork bone ramen were fucking amazing
  • The three things you need: kale salad. Brussels sprouts. Kimchi ramen. Ok bye
  • Awesome I will be back.
  • They have booze now!
  • The brussel sprouts with miso dressing instead of the fish sauce is an amazing substitute for vegetarians
  • Blown away by the quality of the ramen. Ippudo, move over. The unfiltered sake was quite weird though.
