Chocoholics Rejoice: The Colorado Chocolate Festival Returns
If you're looking for something special to do with mom this weekend, or still need to buy a Mother's Day gift, look no further! The Colorado Chocolate Festival will be at the Denver Merchandise Mart this Friday and Saturday. With over 60 vendors attending the event, chocoholics will not be disappointed. Treat Mom, or yourself, to samples of gourmet candies, cakes, cookies, brownies, truffles, and more.
Tasting tickets can be purchased in ten or twenty dollar packages. Many booths are also offering a special selections of Mother's Day gifts that will be sure to show mom how much she's treasured. Guests can also stop and enjoy several chocolate related competitions including: the children's chocolate pudding eating contest and a chocolate cake contest. Two chocolate and beer pairing sessions with 'chocolate therapist' Julie Pechand; and a demonstration from Master Pastry Chef Johannes Busch will also be a hit. Admission is $5 and free for children under five.
