Foursquare Tips

  • This charming bistro transplants guests to the heart of France. The prix-fixe menu gets you three courses, with plenty of options in each. Unpretentious and respectful, and most of all, delicious.
  • Top notch French comfort food! Found it on my epic new Supper app: http://supper.mx/places/chez-nous-austin/
  • The best French fare in town and the BEST service anywhere!
  • The best pat in town!!!
  • Different chef or too busy in the kitchen, food is not the same.Escargot were tasteless and rubbery, the rest too much butter to taste anything else. Not worth it.
  • Amazing food and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere in downtown Austin
  • The dessert crepes were amazing!
  • Sarrazin was really good. Buckwheat crepe, ham, egg and perfect bechemel.
  • Get the trout. Yum.
  • Aaron Franklin, chef of Franklin Barbecue, eats here on his nights off. He loves the Assiette de charcuterie.
  • Try the Iles Floatent - as good as Grandmere but hers were the size of Greenland
  • Grab some tasty eats on Earth Day, and 5% of your bill goes to support eco-friendly causes.
  • The best French restaurant in town, bar none! Excellent table side service, intimate dining area and exquisite food make for a one-of-a-kind dining experience.
  • Not bad - a bit on the pricey end. But if you are a Francophile, this is a good place to start. Go on 6th St. on "off nights" and find easy street parking nearby. .
  • The escargot and sweetbreads were fantastic. However the red wines by the glass (both Bordeaux and Cote du Rhone) were disappointing.
  • Loved the sweetbreads, duckling pate, creme brulee; wonderful service
  • Very average French restaurant. Don't go out of ur way, unless ur craving French
  • Eat the Du Jour menu for an awesome $26 3 course meal.
  • I went on my birthday in 2007. I still have flashbacks from that filet mignon.
  • The sandwich du jour is consistently fantastic.
