Foursquare Tips

  • Get the burger and fries! They're some of my favorite in town and totally worth it!
  • Get the country pt and the croque-monsieur. Both are fantastic!
  • City Scene named the Hamburger Fonfon "Birmingham's Best Burger." One of the things most impressive about it is its simplicity. The beef and bun are so superior that it almost doesn't need any extras.
  • Laid back enough where it isn't stuffy feeling, but fancy enough to be somewhere you could spend a special date. Very affordable for the quality, and the Orange Thing is worth every penny.
  • Salmon is great.
  • Have to get the burger anytime I come to Birmingham. Sersly one of the best I've ever had. The chicken liver mousse is pretty sensational too!
  • Chef Frank Stitt's Fonfon Burger is one of Birmingham's affordable luxuries, and it was named among "Birmingham's Best Burgers (Bar None)" by Birmingham magazine.
  • Try a Havana Sidecar. I ordered it so much they put it on the menu! (originally found it at Balthazar in NYC) It is mt gay rum, Cointreau and fresh sour mix served "up" in a sugared martini glass.
  • Burger was excellent! Turkey sandwich also excellent !
  • The burger is fantastic!
  • Oh Chez Fonfon, you've ruined me for other burgers.
  • Everything. Casual, French with a flair!
  • Try the Hamburger burger in Alabama!!!
  • The Syrah served by the glass is amongst the very best I have had. Really neat place

  • Delicious food. Fabulous service. Menu prices are not bad. $15 for an amazing burger and yummy fries. Fun music too that I haven't heard in a while...Jamiroquai and Seal! Back patio was super cute.
