Chapters All Day Dining Launches Gentleman's Afternoon Tea

London is renowned for its afternoon tea delights—it's a must-do when staying in the capital. However, the mid-afternoon experience is no longer the preserve of women. Chapters All Day Dining, a brasserie-style restaurant in Blackheath, has launched Gentleman's Afternoon Tea. Billed for men who like the little things with a manly touch, the extensive menu is available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from three to six in the evening.

Forget dainty finger sandwiches, bite-sized cakes, and eating from floral china, Chapters Gentleman's Afternoon Tea is as manly as they come, with a mouth-watering macho menu that includes: A bottle of Greenwich meantime beer, salt beef on toasted rye with mustard mayonnaise and pickles, champagne glazed oysters, venison bresoala with toasted sour dough, mini chapters beef burger, warm duck croquants with plum chutney, deep-fried herring melts with garlic and parsley croutons, warm chocolate brownies, and treacle tart.

Diners will certainly be in for a treat with the menu's masculine twist on the traditional afternoon tea, by replacing the classic cucumber sandwich and a teacup with a beer bottle in one hand and a burger in the other. The miniature savories showcase some of Chapters' signature dishes, as well as brand new creations. The Gentleman's Afternoon Tea menu will be available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, to be pre-booked only, for £32, or about 51 US dollars, per person.

Chapters, is a Michelin Bib Gourmand and 2 AA rosette-rated brasserie that is renowned for its simple, well-cooked and presentable food.
