Cereal Gets A Make Over

Cereal is a staple for every college student. No matter what your favorite kind is, cereal is always there when the dining hall is serving up something questionable. However, cereal can start to get a little boring after a while. Here are some ways to give cereal a whole new look.

A smoothie topping

If you sprinkle some fruity cereal on top of a fresh fruit smoothie it adds a unexpectedly tasty crunch. It's the new and improved milk for your cereal so don't diss it 'til you try it. If you need a little help in the smoothie department try one of these.

In trail mix

Especially during finals time, healthy snacks on the go are a must have. You can take whatever you have left over in your room to put this tasty snack together. Pictured is a mix of  almonds, raisins, M&Ms, sunflower seeds, pretzels, peanuts, Cheerios and Corn Pops. Just throw this mix in a plastic bag and head to the library.

A yogurt parfait

This is a great breakfast treat when cereal and milk doesn't thrill you. Layer strawberry yogurt, Cocoa Puffs, banana and repeat. If you're looking to impress, this looks beautiful in a nice glass with half a strawberry on top.

Bite size s'mores

A perfect addition to your summer BBQ or a late night snack. Simply dip marshmallows in chocolate and roll it around in Frosted Flakes. The easiest way to do this is to put the cereal in a bowl and then add the marshmallow in and roll it around. This is also deliciously satisfying with Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
