Celebrity Cruises' Captain's Club Loyalty Program Gets Two More Tiers
Two new tiers have been added to Celebrity Cruises' Captain's Club loyalty program, thanks to feedback from guests whom helped to define the features. Starting on November 25, 2013, the luxury liner's reward's program began to include a six-tiered status: Preview, Classic, Select, Elite, Elite Plus and Zenith, with the latter two boasting their own unique set of privileges and benefits.
Once Elite Plus status is achieved, members will get to enjoy additional beverage and specialty dining discounts; complimentary cappuccinos, lattes; and free 200-minute Internet packages among other things. A Zenith status ensures the ultimate level of membership with access to Michael's Club Lounge (available fleetwide in 2014), 1,600-minute Internet package, complimentary premium alcoholic beverage package and laundry.
"At a time when many loyalty programs are cutting back on benefits or making it more difficult to redeem rewards, we're thrilled to do just the opposite," said Celebrity's Director of Loyalty Lee Moreau. "Guest loyalty is the cornerstone to any successful business, and that's why, at Celebrity Cruises, we make our guests the center of our attention. We hope this reinvigorated program will even more vividly show our guests how much we appreciate their loyalty, and allow us to welcome them back onboard even more frequently."
To move up the tier quicker, guests can accelerate their progression with the new Club Points system. The points recognize stateroom categories and days spent onboard, at the same time adding on previous cruise credits that will be converted into the new program. Therefore, guests will still retain their earned benefits with no expiration. As a further thank you to loyal guests, Captain's Club members will be able to access special pricing exclusively for them through a member's portal.
