Foursquare Tips

  • Don't bring your girlfriend here if she can't drink tequila.
  • Salsa sampler: you get a random 4 from a selection of 23! Chef comes table side to explain them. Do it.
  • Best El Mescalero: house jalepeo and arbol chile infuses mezcal, Saint Germaine
  • Try the salsas.
  • The chicken soup is insane...
  • Chicken soup is incredible. Just like my mother used to make. Love this place.
  • The prawns come wrapped in raw bacon. Still figuring out if that's intentional. Rethink this menu item if ordering it.
  • Julio's salsas are where it's at.
  • Great salsa. Get the salsa sampler, but NOT the salsa trio (which is not actually salsa) (I know, right?)
  • Fresh vegetables and dishes spiced to perfection make this place a must-try for all Mexican food aficionados. Recommend the tostadas!
  • Not real Mexican BUT super fresh ingredients that leave you appreciating the nuances prepared here. Chicken mole was fab. Decor one of the best and unique in brooklyn.
  • The girl that works the bar brought me the wrong check twice and start arguing with no point and with bad manners about it. I used to like this place and now there's no way I'm coming back.
  • Shrimp tacos like crack. Soups delicious. Tequilas always on floor.
  • The salsa sampler is so spicy and incredible and the owner/ chef Julio is an artist! The chocolate mole enchiladas are to die for. This place is wonderful.
  • Pedro is an incredible mixologist!!
  • great drinks and food at super reasonable prices. Apparently the same owners as la superior, but not only tacos here, much more traditional tapas and entrees. Super unique salsa which is amazing!
  • Amazing chicken soup!
  • $6 normal sized flavored margaritas all the time and open until 2am Fri and Sat! I love the pineapple! Ask for hibiscus salt rim!
  • Spicy salsa
  • holy shit. took everyone's advice on the salsa sampler. proceed with caution and make sure you have plenty of water before digging in! having said that, it was delicious.
