Call For Recipes: Grilling For Heroes

The Propane Education & Research Council and U.S. Air Force Veteran and Food Network personality Sunny Anderson have announced the launch of a campaign, Grilling for Heroes, to support wounded veterans and raise awareness about safe propane grilling. The campaign will run through September 30, 2014 and will help raise funds for wounded veterans.

You can submit your best barbecue or grilling recipe and an anecdote about what the military means to you online at GrillingForHeroes.com between now and September 30, 2014 for a chance to be featured in Sunny Anderson's new ecookbook; the cookbook will be available for download Memorial Day 2015. All of the proceeds from the ecookbook will be donated to Hope for the Warriors, a charity for wounded veterans.

Sunny says, "Grilling is not only an American pastime but also one of my favorite ways to prepare delicious food. The opportunity to educate my fans and grillers about basic propane grill safety while also honoring fellow military personnel and veterans is deeply important to me." Consider supporting this important campaign and visit GrillingForHeroes.com for tips on safe summer grilling.
