Buttery Cinnamon Pecans

This recipe was inspired by a spiced pecan recipe and helps to fulfill my desire for pecan rolls or cinnamon rolls or both combined! And I don’t miss the bread part at all. With this you have all the richness and flavor, more for your palate to enjoy. And evidently, pecans are also rich in anti-oxidants. When roasted, they taste like cookies to me!

Ingredients

  • 1/2  Pound  pecans
  • 1  Tablespoon  clarified butter
  • 1/8  Teaspoon  Himalayan salt
  • 1/4  Teaspoon  Sweet Leaf Stevia
  • 1  Tablespoon  cinnamon
  • 1/4  Teaspoon  vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a small bowl, combine the salt, Stevia, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Set aside. Roast the pecans for 10-15 minutes, just to give them a slight toast. Melt the clarified butter in a saucepan large enough to hold pecans. Sauté the pecans for 5 minutes, then toss with the seasonings and stir to coat. Let cool before serving and refrigerate for later use.

Butter Shopping Tip

Be sure to purchase the correct flour a recipe calls for – flours differ in gluten or protein content, making each suited for specific tasks.

Butter Cooking Tip

Insert a toothpick into the center of cakes, bar cookies, and quick breads to test for doneness – it should come out clean or only have a few crumbs clinging to it.
