Foursquare Tips

  • House-made pretzel with bier cheese all the way. I want to drink this stuff oh man. BIER CHEESE!
  • Try the home made pretzel with bier cheese! Pizza is an amazing alternative too.
  • Can you say you've ever had a dry-aged Rib eye & Bison Burger covered with melted foie, pickled veggies, fried egg, and shaved black truffle? Not until you've been here.
  • Pizza always needs salt but it's still pretty good. No high chairs for kids.
  • $4 Pretzel. Fantastic
  • This leberknodel (liver dumpling) and bier cheese at this Carroll Gardens newcomer are delicious in their rich simplicity.
  • The pretzel is the best thing on the menu
  • Pizza and pretzels are awesome! The beer cheese that comes with the pretzels is served cold and delicious.
  • Ich bin ein Berliner
  • Nice brunch! The margarita pizza is thin and flavorful! Nice selection of beers too.
  • Say hi to Dina, she's awesome!!
  • The Pig And Cow pizza doesn't mess about: Soppressata, bacon, speck, sausage, fontina, grana, and basil.
  • Comically rude service
  • If you have kids of high chair age, you are absolutely not welcome.
  • Great beer but didn't quite get the German beer hall aesthetic as well as other establishments in the city. Still a good time though!
  • The pork shank is heavenly!
  • Great beers, pretzels and pizza, but it's so NOISY.
  • If you're into this kind of stuff the oxtail /dumpling stew was amazing! The cheese spread they serve with the pretzels is bangin'!
  • The pizza is great as is the beet salad. You can get better wursts at other German bars. The music volume really gets me - it is unpleasantly loud, even when (especially when?) the place is empty.
  • Braised beef short rib (sweet potato!!!!!) hash. Simply wow.
