The Bowery Kitchen Brings Lombardy To Manhattan

Tucked downstairs at The Bowery House, The Bowery Kitchen has opened in New York City. Headed by executive chef Andrea Mainardi and chef Simone Apostoli, The Bowery Kitchen menu features moderately priced Old World Italian specialties with a New York twist. No dish on the menu exceeds $16.

The Italian chefs, who hail from Lombardy created the menu of nouveau Italian appetizers, breakfast, mains, and cocktails, which features items like a breakfast egg sandwich with avocado, prosciutto di praga, and fontina cheese on a potato roll; handmade ravioli with formagella, mortadella, spinach, and potato; and creamy risotto with chicken, pineapple, apple, and curry.

The contemporary space is populated with steel and glass tables and accented with artwork from 29 Italian artists, including Giuseppe Gallizioli, Cesare Gozzetti, which is also available for purchase. The bar features an Italian modern beer tower serving The Bowery Kitchen's own Bowery Brew, and an espresso machine that is used to craft espresso drinks with Caffè Bristot beans.
