The Boulders Resort in Carefree, Arizona is hosting the first annual Arizona Honey Festival September 29 – 30, which coincides with National Honey Month. The Arizona Honey Festival celebrates the history, health benefits and culinary delights of the ancient natural ingredient.

Arizona is known for its orange blossom honey, a light, mild honey, which is harvested in September.

The Arizona Honey Festival will be held at el Pedregal, the resort's outdoor marketplace and will feature events, including Native American honey dancer performances, beekeeping demonstrations, cooking with honey seminars, honey spa treatments, and the Honey Do Golf Tournament.

Honey-inspired cuisine will be served throughout the Arizona Honey Festival, including a special Honey Dinner prepared by chefs from Waldorf Astoria hotels. The Boulders will also be serving honey cakes, honey fry bread, honey cocktails, and freshly-harvested Arizona honey.
