Best Restaurants Near Toronto's Landmarks

Given the high foot traffic near any city's landmarks, there are oftentimes plenty of (generally not that great) restaurants close by. Finding the best quality, and nearest, spot isn't always easy.

Whether or not you're sightseeing next time you're in Toronto, here are our picks for the best restaurants near some of the city's most frequented landmarks. Some might say that they're destinations in their own right:

1. 360 Restaurant, CN Tower
Located atop the city's iconic CN Tower, 360 Restaurant is an award-winning restaurant with a spectacular panoramic view. The restaurant serves "market-fresh cuisine" by prioritizing regional ingredients. They're open for lunch seven days a week and serve dinner every night but Sunday. We'd love to sample their scallion-crusted West Coast halibut with saffron braised potatoes while gazing out over the city.

2. La Société, near the Royal Ontario Museum
Near the Royal Ontario Museum , La Société offers Parisian bistro-style cuisine. It was selected as one of the "top 10 places to eat" in 2012 by Toronto Life and features luxurious décor (they have a custom-designed 20-by-30-foot illuminated stained glass ceiling) that's evocative of the most quintessential of French establishments. The bistro is open seven days a week with brunch on Saturday and Sunday. They have daily specials, but we're especially excited about their braised lamb shank with wild rice risotto and roast garlic jus.

3. Nota Bene, near the Art Gallery of Ontario
Not too far from the Art Gallery of Ontario, the award-winning Nota Bene offers local and seasonal produce in a sophisticated, yet relaxed setting. The restaurant was recognized as one of the "top 10 new restaurants" in Toronto Life in 2009 and is open for lunch Monday through Friday, as well as dinner on Monday through Saturday. The rare bavette steak with radicchio, pancetta, and salsa verde is a highlight of the menu.
