Chef David Werly's scallop ceviche.
Fresh from Le Cirque at Bellagio, Chef David Werly is settling in at The Setai South Beach. One recent dish he has added to the new menu is a scallop ceviche in an avocado cannelloni. "We’re very happy with the presentation," he noted in a recent interview with The Daily Meal. "It is true authentic salmon roe on top, you know, and this amazing presentation. We’re right in South Beach, right there with that dish — we should call it ‘South Beach.’ It’s perfect—you don’t want to take on any weight, but you still want all those flavors — this is what you want to eat." Indeed. — Arthur Bovino

Prick the crust with a fork at a few places. Now spread pizza sauce over the dough (everywhere except the crust). Put salmon mixture on top. Next scatter onions and tomatoes. Beat two eggs until light and frothy. Now pour the eggs over the pizza (but not on the crust). Whisk the third egg and brush on the edge/crust. Seared Arctic Char
Sweet, tart Bing cherries are a natural pairing with lamb. To give the meat a kick of salt but keep things interesting, I went with miso for seasoning. Arctic char is a sustainable choice, and it is also amazingly delicate yet rich at the same time. It’s becoming easier to find, so keep your eyes out for it. It’s a close cousin to both salmon and trout, and either of those would work nicely here if you can’t find char. All have really nice, thin skin that is delicious when crisped up. I always see people in restaurants push off the skin to the side of the plate, but if it’s cooked right, it’s the fish equivalent of bacon. Give it a try — you might just be a fish-skin fan after all. Click here to see What Fish Should You Be Eating Now for Flavor, Health, and Environment.

Easy, Yet Decadent Appetizer: Prosciutto Rolls Recipe
One of my favorite indulgent appetizers is a bacon-wrapped date with an almond stuffed in it. A couple of my favorite friends would always have them when entertaining for me and my husband. For me, it showed how much they loved me. Making such a thoughtful, gluten-free treat that is gourmet, adult, and complex in flavors. Last New Year's Year, this favorite played as an inspiration for a new creation: one that is easier to make (no cooking); more "healthy" with some green stuff in it; and more balanced complexity by addition of flavors and modifications. Prosciutto rolls: a little date, fresh goat cheese, almonds, arugula, with pepper and herbs all wrapped up in a thin slice of cured meat. Easy to eat with the fingers in two bites. Perfectly balanced harmony of umami, sweet, creamy, peppery bitterness, and freshness from the greens. Differentiation of textures, too with the tender cured meat, chewiness of the date, crunch from the almonds, and crispness of the arugula. When I went to Whole Foods to purchase some prosciutto, I could not immediately find it. So, I bought a package of smoked salmon, too. Turned out great! These easy appetizers would work well with bresaola, too. Bresaola is one of my favorites: an Italian air-cured, thinly sliced beef. Reminds me of a more sophisticated chipped beef I grew up with. Can be found at Italian/specialty stores. For an extra fancy, impressive spread, you could make all three (prosciutto, salmon, bresaola) for a variety of flavors and colors. With these rolls, the sum is great than all of its parts. Therefore, the better quality ingredients will make for a more scrumptious roll. And the thinner the meat, the more you can see the arugula, which is a great look.

Homemade Birthday Gift for Kids
By
Homemade Birthday Gift for Kids     Welcome! I am stella from Sri lanka Homemade Birthday Gift for Kids Birthday are always happening year round. There are many items that you can give as gifts. But homemade gift is very special. It is tasty and nutritious gift for a kids party.   * FOR THE DOUGH: * 100 grams Flour, All Purpose * ¼ teaspoons Salt To Taste * 50 grams Butter, Chilled * ½ whole Egg Yolk, Beaten * 50 milliliters Water Cooled * _____ * FOR THE FILLING: * ½ Tablespoons Olive Oil -Filling * ½ teaspoons Garlic Chopped * 1 Tablespoon Red Onion, Chopped * 50 grams Smoked Salmon, Crumbled * 25 grams Mashed Potatoes * ¼ teaspoons Black Pepper * ½ teaspoons Salt To Taste * ½ whole Whole Egg, Beaten Preparation Instructions Sift the flour. Place the flour and salt in a large bowl. Mix. Rub the butter into the flour with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Next add approximately 1/2 of the egg yolk and the water. Mix well your hands. Try to work quickly. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for 10 -15 minutes. Now take the chilled dough and roll out into a 12 inch square that is about 1/8 inch thick, using a rolling pin. Put the greased mold onto a 12inch square pastry sheet. (I made the boat mold out of thick paper. I covered the paper with aluminum foil. Before using a boat mold brush it with butter or coking spray.) Break off pieces of dough and press them into the mold – make sure the dough goes up the sides as well. Then trim off the excess pastry. Prick the base with a fork to prevent air bubbles. In a pan heat 1/2 table spoon olive oil over medium high heat, add garlic and mix until slightly softened. Next add onion, salmon, and prepared (or leftover) mashed potatoes. Mix until onion is softened and everything is heated through. Add pepper and salt. Mix well. Place your prepared filling in the pastry ‘boat’. Brush the edges of the pastry with some egg wash then place additional pastry over the top and press down to seal. Now make two holes on the top. Brush the egg on top of the pastry. Bake about 20 minutes at 200 c degrees or until the crust is golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool. After that decorate with flags and masts. I’ve done in the photo above. The flags and masts were made out of pastry dough. You can do this with the extra scraps of dough if you want. Serve and enjoy.
