This recipe comes from the Country Cookin' Cookbook by the Church of God of Prophecy in Washington, NC. A couple of the ingredients did not coincide with the instructions but I used my best judgement and also added a few extra seasonings (seasoning salt, onion powder and garlic powder) to my taste. I really like this recipe though because it is so simple.
This is my mom's recipe and the ultimate comfort food for me if it's a gray fall day. It's also about a thousand times better the next day. (Reheat in a pan for best results.) If you're feeling adventurous, try adding cayenne pepper to make it a little spicy.
