Recipe Courtesy of paleoishperez“Sometimes I get to share my food in person, which is the epitome of satisfaction, especially when fights break out over who gets the last bite. Family Breakfast Friday became a tradition at our little Crossfit box in Queens over the summer, when we all decided eating was probably the best activity after a hard workout. This past Family Breakfast Friday (Valentine's Day Edition), I brought to the box probably some of my favorite early morning treats: Almond Butter Banana Muffins. As my good friend and lifting partner, Mel, commented, "they're like a really really good old fashion banana muffin!" They really are! They're soft and spongy like real muffins, but they also have an added flavor of almonds and cocoa. They're not too sweet, not too indulgent. Perfect for a post-workout chat with friends. I hope you bring these to your group and maybe start a Family Breakfast Friday tradition of your own!”- Christine PerezChristine is a reformed clean eater and wellness promoter.
