Top Rated Arugula Salad Recipes

Arugula
I love shrimp. I really do. Unfortunately, it is high in cholesterol (and so am I), so I have to eat it sparingly. So when I do eat it, I try to buy the best-quality shrimp* that I can and cook it simply. This recipe is incredibly quick and easy, so it's perfect to throw together for dinner when you want something light and healthy. *Note: I usually purchase large, never-frozen, unpeeled shrimp. This might not be possible depending on where you live, but that's the goal to aim for. I usually ask my fishmonger to peel and devein the shrimp for me because it can be a somewhat messy and smelly process at home.

Grilled Potato, Onion, and Arugula Salad
This hearty, healthy, filling salad is tasty and easy, the latter because it’s almost completely grilled. It’s seriously simple and tasty. Arugula Salad with Moroccan Mint Brussels Sprouts
I’ve recently purchased those pretty organic salad greens in the plastic containers. They’re practical and keep my greens nice and plump, unlike the bagged versions. But the best part is that they’re so easy to make a fun meal, put the top back on, and bring it with you whether you’re heading out for meetings, traveling on a flight or train, running errands around town, or simply storing it in the fridge until you’re ready to enjoy. Just add some veggies (I've added Brussel sprouts) and some herbs and you're good to go.  Think of it like your very own homemade takeout. It works for me. Go ahead, try it. It’s cheap, vegan, and gluten-free. And tastes pretty darn good, too. So, next time you’re thinking of stopping to get a salad from a salad bar that’s full of unhealthy options — think again. That nice little container of greens is staring at you. Pick it up — along with some other fresh produce and make your own salad bar right in your very own kitchen.

On Rosh Hashanah it is customary to eat apples and honey, which symbolize our hope for a sweet new year, and pomegranates, which have many seeds that symbolize our hope that our good deeds in the ensuing year will be as plentiful as the seeds of the pomegranate. This salad incorporates these two customs in a beautiful and tasty way.
