Pulled pork is a staple of Southern cooking, particularly in the Carolinas, where chefs have perfected the art of barbecue.
This tender, fatty, and flavorful meat is usually made with pork shoulder (sometimes referred to as pork butt, Boston shoulder, or picnic shoulder).
