11 Dishes From Classic Disney Movies Come to Life

When you reminisce about your childhood, you probably remember nap time at school, fun-packed sleepovers, and watching Disney movies over and over. All of these Disney films had one common denominator that we may not have noticed when we were kids, but is always on our minds now: food. The Daily Meal has rounded up 12 recipes that are reminiscent of the magical food of Disney. Now, you can eat like the princes and princesses of your favorite films.

‘A Goofy Movie’

Max and Goofy in A Goofy Movie needed to fuel up — what better way to do so than with a giant breakfast? Goofy enjoys eggs, bacon, and a stack of pancakes. Your pancakes probably never come out as perfect as Goofy's enormous stack, but this recipe comes close.

‘Aladdin’

In Aladdin, our hero gives his half-eaten bread to an orphan on the street. If you're looking for something that you can take to a homeless shelter, bread is the perfect choice. Try making our Zucchini Bread — it's a quick and simple recipe, and you can make a few batches with no effort.

‘Alice in Wonderland’

Isn't it the funniest thing when Alice takes a huge bite out of a piece of pound cake? If she doesn't care, then why should we? Make Grilled Strawberry Pound Cake this week and have no shame while you eat it — with Alice as your inspiration.

‘Beauty and the Beast’

In the "Be Our Guest" scene in Beauty and the Beast pastries, cake, tea, and Champagne all participate in a spectacular musical number. Food dancing across your television screen has to make you a little hungry — eat a piece of pie while you watch.

‘The Emperor’s New Groove’

The spinach puffs from The Emperor's New Groove look delicious. We wish that Kronk could be our personal chef. Since he's not, this recipe for Spinach Puffs should tide us over in the meantime.

‘Lady and the Tramp’

Watching the dinner scene from Lady and the Tramp makes us wish it were date night every night. While we may not be able to go to Bella Notte and order à la carte spaghetti and meatballs, we can make it at home and have a similar date night — ending in a cute little kiss.

‘The Little Mermaid’

Poor Sebastian almost gets cooked in this 1989 blockbuster. While we feel bad for the little guy, that doesn't mean that we're giving up lobster for good. In memory of The Little Mermaid, make a lobster risotto while you watch classic Disney films.

‘Monsters, Inc.’

In this modern classic, Mike takes his girlfriend on a date to Harry Housen's where they enjoy a sushi dinner. For your next date night, make sushi with your significant other — it's nice to be in the kitchen as a couple.

‘The Princess and the Frog’

Why can't we live in a world where we could go to Princess Tiana's restaurant and eat beignets with loads of powdered sugar? Since we don't, we're going to have to make them ourselves — but no worries, we have an easy recipe for French beignets

‘Snow White’

The evil queen gives Snow White a poisoned apple to eat, telling her that one bite will make all her wishes come true. While we can't promise that our Caramel Apples will make all of your wishes come true, we can assure you that they are delicious — and not the least bit toxic.

‘Winnie the Pooh’

We all know what Pooh's favorite food is: honey. When you want to channel your inner Winnie the Pooh, make this Honey Syrup that you can slather on pancakes or waffles.
