The Best Oscars Drink Specials In New York City

Don't feel like hosting your own Academy Awards party or mixing up your own Oscars cocktails? Good thing several New York City bars and restaurants are serving movie-inspired drinks. Here's where to find them:

The Strand Smokehouse: The newly opened barbecue beer hall's bartenders found inspiration in Lincoln for the cocktail The Lincoln's RE:Union. It's made with Tennessee-produced Jack Daniel's whiskey (representing the Confederacy) and Brooklyn Soda Works' fresh ginger soda (representing the Union), and fresh ginger.

L'Amant: The intimate cocktail lounge in the West Village translates to "the lover," so it's only fitting that they offer a Cosette cocktail, after the beloved character in Les Misérables. This light and sweet cocktail is based off of a rum sour, featuring Cruzan rum, calamansi purée, egg white, a touch of lime, a dash of Jerry Thomas bitters, and cane sugar, and garnished with an orange twist rolled in sugar.

SouthWest NY: The bar is offering a cocktail inspired by Silver Linings Playbook. The Silver Lining is a combination of Tecate Michelada made with the chef's special hot sauce, drank with a shot of Gran Centenario Silver Tequila.

Sarabeth's TriBeCa: Just for Skyfall's nomination for Best Score, the bar dedicated a cocktail to Adele's iconic theme song. Their Skyfall cocktail is just the way Bond likes it — made with Absolut Mandarin, orange juice, and Sierra Mist.
