Cleveland City Dance offers classes for students ages 2.5 to 70-plus years old for those looking to perform professionally or learn dance for fun. The Director, Courtney Laves-Mearini, has been teaching dance since 1978 and has been a performer for several companies including the Cleveland Ballet, Atlanta Ballet and the S. Carolina Ballet. Her approach is to build self esteem through her teaching. Students are placed in an appropriate-level class with class sizes ranging from four to 20 students. There is an annual spring concert at the Tri-C Eastern Campus so the students can perform for their friends and family.
