Granite City is located near the intersection of 75 and Big Beaver Road in Troy, but make sure to take a right on Troy Center Drive or you'll miss the entrance – you can't get to it off of Big Beaver Road. It has very flexible happy hours, which include your standard 3 to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, as well as a late night (9 p.m. to close, every night) and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Granite City brews its beers on-site and its craft beer is $3.25 (anything that's on tap) during happy hour. Make sure to pair it with its $8 flatbread pizza for a yummy treat.

Bastone's happy hour is available all week, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m, and includes $1 off any regular price beer. Fries, mussels and its handcrafted pizzas are also half-off during happy hour. Bastone's brewer, Rockne VanMeter, has won more than 70 awards over the last five years, and the restaurant's craft beer is top-notch. You can also join the Bastone Beer Club, which is $50 for a lifetime membership and includes $2 beers all day on Tuesdays, 22-ounce beers for the price of a pint, a Beer Club t-shirt and more.

Grizzly Peak is located on Washington Street, between Main and Ashley, in downtown Ann Arbor. Happy hour includes $2 off pints and 22-ounce beers, $5 off pitchers and $1 off pizza, appetizers and well drinks, and runs from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Grizzly Peak has two bars (two rooms), and it also does a late-night happy hour, from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m., in the "den" room only. The restaurant opened in August 1995, and has been referred to as "a legend in its own time" by the Ann Arbor News.

The Grand Trunk Pub is located a block from Campus Martius and Hart Plaza, and is in what was formerly the Grand Trunk Railway Station; enjoy the 1900s architecture, 25-foot ceilings and extravagant chandeliers while you're there for happy hour. Grand Trunk's happy hour is Monday through Friday, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and includes $2 well drinks, which is one of the best deals in town. You can also order $2 domestic beers, or $1 off regular drafts, Michigan bottles and wines. The $5 munchies (for dine-in only), such as chicken wings, breaded mushrooms and BBQ corned beef sliders, are also offered.

Jacoby's German Biergarten is the place to go for your German beers for happy hour, and it's located in downtown Detroit. Happy hour deals are Monday through Friday, 4 to 7 p.m., and include $3 well drinks, $4 "dollar calls" and $5 top shelf – you can also get $1 off domestic and draught beers. Jacoby's does various specials throughout the week such as "Ladies night" on Wednesdays (20 percent off for ladies) and $1 off draught and well beers on Thursdays for college students.
