Best Anti-McDonald's 'Les Miserables'-Themed Flash Mob, Ever

Looks like the community of Tecoma in Australia is so passionate about not having a McDonald's in their midst, they went about and created an impressive flash mob to get more attention.

The schtick? Sing a rousing rendition of "Do You Hear the People Sing?" from notable depressing musical Les Miserables. Lyrics include "Tear down the golden arches/ and restore democracy," as well as "Will you give all you can give / So that Tecoma can be free / Stop VCAT and McDonald's/ Will you come and stand with me?"

The townspeople, who want to get rid of McDonald's, have even started an online petition titled Burger Off (nice pun).

"Every day, kids as young as 5 years old would need to walk past a giant advertisement for junk food just to go to school. This is despite health experts warning of the damaging impact of junk food on young children — and child obesity spiraling out of control," the petition online says. The 24/7 store in Tecoma, which just so happens to be opposite a kindergarten, wouldn't exactly be the best advertisement for kids.
