Beach Bonfire Musts

When the summer sun starts to fade and your friends aren't ready to pack up the beach chairs and towels just yet, there's only one thing to do — make a bonfire, and some s'mores.

Before you bust out the keg and the solo cups along with the marshmallows and the graham crackers, there are a few items that you need in order to successfully throw a beachside bash:

Paper or plastic serving ware and utensils: Between the sea, the sand, and the great outdoors, you're bound to make a mess, so just toss the plates afterward.

Cooler: Make sure to check beach regulations before heading to the beach with alcohol in tow. Either way, bring a cooler or maybe even two — one for all the foods you'll roast or grill and one for beverages.

Party games: Frisbee, volleyball, beach ball — all of the ideal beachside sports make for a great group game. Once the fire gets going, bring your best scary stories or just check here for more bonfire games.

S'mores essentials: Just get a stick and one of these fork applicators — it will make your marshmallow roasting all the easier.

Don't forget blankets, chairs, and of course, great friends. For tips on how to start a bonfire head here
