Foursquare Tips

  • One of the oldest public houses in Britain. Great selection of ales. When I worked in Nottingham centre in the "hobbit building" we regularly held bored meetings in there. We went when we were bored.
  • This pub claims to be the oldest in England. True or not, still a fantastic place to meet with your friends and share a beer. PS: get the fish and chips!
  • Don't ever clean the Ship!
  • In the Rock Lounge, visitors can see the Cursed Galleon, a model ship that brings death to anyone who cleans it. The ghost of Roger Mortimer, lover of Queen Isabella, is said to haunt the caves.
  • Good choice of real ales. Check out Museum room upstairs.
  • Nice little space! Hard to find a table though. Expensive food but a must go.
  • Ideal para tomar algo tranquilo despues de visitar el castillo.
  • "An ale for thy merriment, thou enseamed wench!" is not a good thing to say to the bar staff and will probably get you nothing/thrown out.
  • Very busy tourist attraction, be prepared to wait at the bar. Good beer, try the OldeTrip, & good food.
  • Must visit place. You should looking place upstairs near the fireplace
  • Can't beat the old world charm here. Low ceilings, caves, ghosts, swords and beer.
  • Un lugar genial para tomar una buena pinta de su cerveza artesana: Old Trip Ale. Tomarla dentro es todo un lujo, ya que el loca est excavado en piedra
  • You realy want to see the museum room! But don't forget to check the Castle and the caves as well.
  • Would echo other tips. Fab atmosphere and have to say the Pimm's is great whatever the weather! Recommend the haunted snug if main bar areas are busy!
  • Love this old place
  • I really enjoyed eating there and drinking their beer. Wonderful atmosphere, nice people.
  • Enjoy the beer garden in the sunshine
  • Great porters and IPAs. Just popped in for a quick beer but the atmosphere caught me immediately. The oldest pub is the oldest pub. ;)
  • Great local ales, lovely pub with loads of character.
  • Very nice and authentic. Lots of history and the prices are good
